At Grill City, food is family. Our restaurant began with a simple vision: to share the warmth and tradition of Pakistani cooking with Bradford. We are a family-owned business, and every dish we serve reflects the passion and heritage of our home kitchens.
That family includes our three founders, lifelong friends Mohammad Sheeraz, Ajmal Hussain, and Head Chef Muhammad Tahraiz. After moving from Pakistan to Bradford, they craved the authentic taste of home. When they could not find it, they decided to build it themselves.
Head Chef Muhammad Tahraiz leads our kitchen. He uses the skills he learned in famous Pakistani restaurants to cook our secret family recipes.
We are proud to be the first restaurant in Bradford to serve the famous Steam Matka. We also created our own legendary dish, the Emperors Tawa. We use the finest fresh ingredients, blended with spices sourced directly from Pakistan, to capture the true essence of its cuisine. This is our gift to our new home, Bradford.

A tawa is a traditional flat griddle. Our Emperors Tawa is a large sizzling platter of grilled meats and curries, designed for sharing.
It's slow-cooked in a sealed clay pot, an ancient technique that makes the meat incredibly tender and the flavours rich and concentrated.
They are flavourful and aromatic. We can easily adjust the spice level to suit your taste—just ask your server.
